Boom Boom Around The House

Landon’s endless energy reservoir doesn’t shut off just because he is inside. Boom Boom just races around the house – as shown in this Film Friday.

Boom Boom running around the house.
Boom Boom running around the house.

The house is still very new and exciting to Landon, so he bursts around the house inspecting every corner. Fortunately, his destructiveness is focused on only a couple of items, like leashes, so the only real danger is colliding with him as he blurs around the halls.

That staying off the guest beds rule is a little difficult to remember.

Of course, Hu-Dad only becomes suspicious when the house gets quiet. When he does a quick headcount, sometimes he gets the innocent look like this:

Nothing. I am up to nothing.
Nothing. I am up to nothing.

Yes, we know exactly what you are thinking because it is exactly what Hu-Dad thought. Landon is searching the couch and pillows for his missing candy. He simply will not accept that it has all been removed, so he remains ever hopeful. (If you missed that story, check it out here.)

The beauty of Film Friday is that we are not restricted to simple photographs to explain the frenetic energy of Boom Boom. We invite you to race around the house with Boom Boom for this week’s Film Friday.

Mom sez: I notice Landon had a few “slip-slides” on the hardwood floors. That boy is definitely a “study in perpetual motion”. It’s a wonder he doesn’t slip when he’s running like that, and have a “furniture collision”. Or does he ever?

Furniture collisions happen, though Typhoon is the far more likely culprit.

What a beautiful home and a beautiful boy showing it off. I found your website when it was fairly new and frankencouch was one of the funniest things. I did feel sorry for them when they got the concrete furniture. I lost my huskey that looked like Boom Boom, but still have a white one like Quannik. It is very obvious how much thought and love goes into everything you do for them.

Oh Landon!! I pace, I run, I jump over both Otto and the stationary bike. Will you marry me??

Do they ever slip on those floors? I have to trim husky socks so Juno doesn’t hurt a hip as she races into the house.

Actually very rare. For the most part, we respect the “speed limits” imposed by the floors. Typhoon, on the otherhand, looks something like a cartoon character when he is accelerating with his legs spinning in a blur.

Oh my! I have a Doberman who is similarly quite active. Always on the go – and always with a WHINE! I keep telling her Dobermans don’t WHINE they MAN up to it, but she’s not buying it.
(And all those throw pillows around the house would be TOAST in about 3.2 DoberMinutes each! 🙂 )

Hu-Dad is always amazed that we leave the pillows alone. Though they are quite comfy for napping.

Landon is one busy bee! Where’s the rest of the Herd during this filming?

    • The Thundering Herd on December 16, 2016 at 11:40 am

We were all outside. Hu-Dad said this was a solo project (something about only camera operator).

  7. Sea Wolf on December 16, 2016 at 9:18 am

LOL! OMG he is a busy bee. Good thing that Typhoon is not helping/encouraging … or vice versa. Or is the other scamp outside?

    • Bug Gus on December 16, 2016 at 10:42 am

I think he’s looking for his siblings! What a gorgeous home. thank you for sharing

    • The Thundering Herd on December 16, 2016 at 11:40 am

The scamp – so appropriately named – was outside.

Beautiful home! I take it the herd has regular nail trims to avoid scratching leather furniture and floors ?? Or do you have another secret??

    • The Thundering Herd on December 16, 2016 at 6:36 am

Shrug. Hu-Dad says houses are meant to be lived in. We just add character.
