Landon’s Great Idea

For the first time in weeks, we had a sunny Sunday with near perfect weather. We followed Landon’s great idea for enjoying the weather.

As we have mentioned before, much of our state set record breaking rainfall totals for last year. We have felt it particularly hard the last several weeks as day after day after day has seen precipitation fall from the sky. So when our Sunday dawned with crystal clear blue skies and calm breezes, we were all in a celebratory mood. Even though most of the trails in the year are still muddy and treacherous, Landon suggested another plan.

Woo! A walk in the park.
Woo! A walk in the park.

The park was still quite muddy (the river next to it has flooded in the last few weeks and left a nice layer of mud everywhere), but it was open and the walking paths were in good condition. A perfect day for a little family walk.

A family walk!

Movie Memory Monday

So while today’s post is about getting out and doing something, our Movie Memory Monday is about doing nothing at all. Yep, an entire video of nothing. Frankie is notorious for fluffing the blankets on the human bed, so Hu-Dad set up the camera to capture the fluffing in action. Frankie, being a Siberian Husky, refused to cooperate. We call this non-action flick “No Fluff Frankie.”
