Outside Games

Yesterday was a perfect day for some outside games. Well, perfect if you are a Siberian Husky because our rain became something much better.

Well, that weather looks much better.
Well, that weather looks much better.

Our forecast for yesterday was a steady, cold rain switching over to snow in the evening and accumulating 2-3 inches. But, as Mother Nature loves to do in our mountains, the switch over occurred hours earlier – mid-morning rather than evening.

Roscoe and Landon say this is much better than rain.
Roscoe and Landon say this is much better than rain.

When it first started coming down, we weren’t sure it was going to do much. So we had to keep going outside over and over and over to check (Hu-Dad was so happy about that).

Getting better.
Getting better.

By early afternoon, our forecasts had been updated to see we could get “up to 8 inches” and some brisk breezes (40-50 mph wind gusts). That’s a revision most of us like.

Except for those of us with shorter legs.
Except for those of us with shorter legs.

P.S. – We are wishing a very Happy 13th birthday to our red-headed girl, Miss Cheoah (aka the Cheesewhiz).

Happy Birthday baby girl. Have a fantastic day. Keep her close Hu-Dad. You never know when you’re gonna loose them. I lost my beautiful boy yesterday. He had bone cancer. It was horrible to even watch him get worse a little. He never stopped eating or trying to play. He just seem a little tired. He had it in his right leg so he couldn’t walk on it because the cancer shattered his knee. He is gone, but will never be forgotten. Hugs and kisses to the herd.

We are so sorry for your loss and know that we are all thinking of you. We keep a candle in the window to light the journey to the rainbow bridge for our lost friends and it will lit in his honor.

So so sorry for your loss. He will go north of Rainbow Bridge to join all the huskies to play in the snow. A candle will be lit and placed in my window in his honor to light the way.

So so sorry for your loss. He will find his way north of rainbow bridge, join all the other huskies. There with his leg now perfect, he will run thru the snow stopping to send you ”angel kisses” at times. He is forever in your heart.
