One Day Later – Still Running

We have now been home for a full day, but Landon is still running around the yard like a crazy dog in his ecstatic homecoming dance.

Wheeeeeee!

Wheeeeeee!

Landon enjoyed our S-RV excursion last week. He was enthusiastic about all of our walks and meeting new people. But his celebration of our return home has been non-stop. Well, not quite non-stop. There are moments of pause.

Are those rabbits?

Are those rabbits?

Seconds later, though, the race around the yard is back. We have to admit, there is something really cool about a rescue dog celebrating the fact that he knows where his home is. And he knows he is home!

And another lap!

And another lap!

Rescues really do teach us that the simple things are what make us the happiest.

It looks like he sure knows he is home and has a wonderful life. Lucky boy to have been adopted by a wonderful Hu-Dad into a fun herd. He will learn so much from his brothers and sisters and be part of a remarkable family. Thank you for sharing the Herd with us.

No truer words! It’s a beautiful thing when a rescue pup knows where he belongs ❤️❤️❤️

A Shark Attacked My Best Friend

June 20, 2025 - In honor of the 50th anniversary of the theatrical debut of the movie Jaws, the film that was the inspiration for these events, D. K. Wall recorded the story in audio and video. The original story was posted on October 9, 2022.

A shark attacked my best friend when I was 11. His screams were awful. The silence that followed was worse. I was alone in the ocean.

Enjoy it your way
