Our first priority every morning is safeguarding valuables – ensuring that our most precious treasure has not disappeared overnight.
We are jealously guarding our stash and making sure that no one is stealing it. You just never know when some thief sneaks into your home and disappears into the night with your riches.
And what is it that we value so dearly? What are we guarding so tightly? What prize is so important to us that we have to race out first thing in the morning and ensure its very existence?

Hurricane Hugo Memories
September 21, 2024
Thirty-five years ago, a massive storm hammered our region and left a path of destruction, leaving us with Hurricane Hugo memories.
So happy you all finally have your snow. We haven’t had much, not even an inch. Strange year. Enjoy while it lasts. And yes, keep watch over it or the ‘warm weather’ thief will steal it. Have lots of fun. All of you are so very beautiful.
Mom sez: Ahhh, snow, beautiful snow! Ebby “up-ends” herself in the snow, chasing the field mice that appear to race around under it, until all you can see is this beautiful, waving tail. And when she comes up for air, a pile of snow on top of her head, and on her “beak”.
Does the Herd go after the field mice, as well, or do you have them there?
Oh, yes. Voles. Possum. Rabbits.
Yes! You are in charge of that and that is one big duty! Seems like you two are doing great 🙂
Also, very cute pictures. Thank you for sharing!
Take care,
Bailey
Trash men come every week and steal our stuff. Our humans seem not to care.
Is woolly little Kiska more hesitant to rollick in the snow?
Serious Miss Kiska does not “rollick” a lot anywhere. She is in the snow regularly, but prefers her security patrols to games.
She takes her job seriously.
Frankie looks so relieved that the snow is safe. Love their expressions.
Ahh yes… one can never trust the snow thief!
