We thought we would share some pictures of our neighbors today – such as this family of twelve turkeys (twice as many as us).

Of course, we love our Tree of Life!

Believe it or not, with our cool mornings, we are starting to see some fall colors.

But our favorite neighbors might just be the horses and cows at the neighboring Cataloochee Ranch.

And there are so many of them.

Who needs sunset paintings, when you have a paint in the sunset? (Go ahead – you can groan).

Of course, these neighbors do slow down traffic sometimes.

Of course, they are quite clear about who has the right of way inside the ranch.

About the prettiest traffic jam you have ever seen, huh?
I’d be happy seeing horses on the hill every day!

You have lots of interesting neighbors!
Pawesome!

Such a wonderful neighbourhood to live in. Me ‘n Ice would love to live there. You are SOOOO lucky.
I could see some chasing going on if my dogs were there. Probably someone getting kicked in the head with a hoof too. I hope you all are smart enough to give good distance.
Our interaction with the horses and cows is pretty much limited to driving through the ranch while we are seat belted into the Jeep or when we are out for a hike (while leashed) and pass horses and riders on a trail.
Very beautiful! I would be sneaking over to visit the equine neighbors every day! 🙂
ABSOLUTELY LOVELY! YOU HAVE THE LIFE!!!!
Your life makes me smile.
Your neighbors are definitely much better than ours! I’m pretty sure yours have never been called The Village Idiots.
You have very beautiful neighbors and surroundings. Oh hey and all of the herd is so very beautiful too. It is a wonderful thing to be able to truly enjoy where you live. Hugs and kisses to the herd.
