Sarge’s Downtown Dog Walk – The Video

Yes, yes, yes, it is Walking Wednesday with over 100 of our closest canine friends. Well, they are friends if they are supporters of Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation.  This year, we staked out a position near the start of the parade and videoed every single dog walking.  We started to do some editing on it and realized that, frankly, it was best with just a little music added and some tags.  We hope you enjoy it.

Awesome! though I think the best dressed were the “au naturelle” of Siberian couture. Just sayin’…

nice to see so much support –local support. a community who cares. so much seen globally in terms of rescue needs these days it’s hard to help and be so divided, but on a local level, it’s something special because it’s your community and family.

Here in CH, I don’t see rescue organizations (tho they have SPCA’s). So I try to help out at some of the larger Sibe rescues and some other larger animal rescues in the US from here.

Love that Qtip’s greeting. He’s Loki’s kinda fella… for reals.

Sarge’s does amazing work! It was nice to see such a huge turnout in support. The Herd had the perfect spot for filming…it felt like we were there!

I watched the video with tears in my eyes. All those dogs have been saved? That is really amazing and so very heartwarming. Thank you for sharing!!

While Sarge’s has saved hundreds of dogs – much more than were in the parade, the parade is of dogs and owners who contribute to this fundraiser. So while many of the dogs are rescues (as are The Herd), not all of them are.

A wonderful event for a wonderful cause. Nice to see so many “fur kidz” of so many breeds, all in one place, and no fighting. My only complaint — not enough shown of The Herd. Did they not actually participate in the walk, or were they “spectators” this year?

Oh, no, The Herd walked, too. We cut off the video right as the police car was arriving for the end of the parade and then joined in.

I don’t think I have ever seen THAT many dogs walking together. The Herd was on best behavior when the girls came by to pet them.

Very nice event and super to see all the support for Sarge’s!

    Kisses,

Nice video. The Herd is famous (I heard the guy asking…) and gets lots of attention.

How cool! There were so many dogs! And looks like you guys got plenty of attention too. woo woo woo!

Looks like a lot of fun! What’s with all the Flexi Leads, though? Those aren’t even allowed at most of the dog events around here.

One of these years we are actually going to be in town and be able to participate…Jericho says the he and his “puddle” (his vertically challenged house mates) really should be there.

Great to see all the different rescuees! That must have been torture for the Herd, though, watching all those wonderful smells walk on by!

WOW what a great idea! Thanks, Herd, for doing that–it was SO fun at the time and extra fun to see it again. You guys rock! 🙂
