The Answers

You can tell the holiday season is getting closer.  Our neighbor, Cataloochee Ski, was really hopping.  As we were out for our morning walk, we enjoyed watching the skiers having fun:

And when we got back from our walk, we really enjoyed reading the guesses of who was who in yesterday’s contest. Our humans laugh, because the only view of us they have when we are out hiking is this, so it pretty easy for them to know who is who from this angle:

So thanks for all of your great guesses.  Here are the official answers:

#1 – Kodiak

#2 – Kiska

#6 – Qannik

Congratulations to everyone who guessed correctly (and to those who didn’t, but played and had fun anyway).  Maybe next time we should do noses.  We could call it “Pick The Herd’s Noses.”  What do you think?

I think “Guess the Noses” would be harder than guess the rear views.

I’m bummed that I missed out on the game, but I got Rusty and Cheoah mixed up anyway. πŸ™‚

My human and I were discussing your lack of snow problem. Maybe if you learned to ski they would let you go play in their snow…

We guessed them right but we think picking might be a lot more difficult (and messy). Nice to see the ski business kicking in down there.

We got it! Yay, because we hardly ever get anything like this and would NEVER get noses, ever.

So, whats the prize? Its a contest, must be a prize, right?

Dang, I got only two… It must have been hysterical to you to hear our funny guesses.

My first two dogs were littermates and almost identical twins. One day, I switched their red and blue collars. My husband spent the first half of our hike flummoxed by the lack of response by each individual dog to his name. Then, it dawned on him… I’ve been laughing about it for 20 years!

Funny thing was, if you closed your eyes and stroked their ears, you could absolutely tell them apart every single time. Their ear silkiness was very different.

I only got Kodiak and Rusty mixed up! I thought Rusty was the darker one lol, but now I know better. I’d say I did pretty good. πŸ™‚ Yep, let’s do noses. Since I have a heads up I’ll start studying them now. πŸ˜‰
