Does our title have you totally confused? If so, you have not been following the adventures of many of our pals:
This would be the point where we carefully explain that each of the above pictures was carefully lifted from the noted blogs and we probably violated a bazillion copyright laws, but we are hoping that the owners have a great sense of humor – and a less than excellent attorney at claw. They could sue us for all of the profits we receive from The Thundering Herd website, which means that if they sue us, they have to pay us.
Anyway, we thought that since we are already violating laws, we should go ahead and run a contest of skill (because a contest of chance is illegal in our great state, except for the officially sanctioned state lotteries that pull in frillions of dollars to make sure that we have better educated public school students. I am sure you have all noticed the difference. The grand prize of this contest – the bragging rights. Wow, huh? Anyway, the rules are simple. Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.

Thanks for my Wednesday morning laugh. Miss Ruby has what we call cargo shorts. Being a wooly who disdains brushing and bathing I am forced to trim her shorts twice a year. Just did her fall trim and gave her the waterless bath to make her smell and look pretty.
Debbie and Miss Ruby-I too started my Wednesday off with a chuckle! Your girl sounds a little like Typhoon Phooey who hates the brush!!! I’m glad she smells pretty too-after all she is a girl.
