Normally, when we are having a howlfest and the human tries to get it on camera, we shut up.  Not this time.  We were way too much into the song and he got us.  A lot.  But we did have one last laugh.  Well, a laugh in addition to the muddy paw prints on the door left over from last weekend’s snow.

Kiska spies the human while Kodiak and Rusty are getting into the song.

Kodiak, Kiska and Natasha demonstrate their harmony.

Qannik does his solo while Rusty handles the backing vocals.

Uh, Dad. Think you had it on the sport setting, not video. Doh!

Cheoah – Sorry, dad, no do-overs.  Better luck next time.

I was going to ask where the sound was! Should have known it was a mess up on the part of the human!

  2. Norwood on October 24, 2009 at 7:53 am

Oh I so wanted to hear the beautiful husky melody! Get it together dad… some of us may want to join in from a distance.

  3. Stella on October 23, 2009 at 10:42 pm

What usually brings a howlfest on? Any noise? Another dog howls?

I would love to hear it too.

You must forgive him for he is only human.

  10. Jake and Fergi on October 23, 2009 at 2:26 pm

Ah, darn! I was all ready to wake Jake up from his nap in the sun! Maybe next time! For now, I can use my active imagination. The pictures said a lot!

Silly hoomans with their teckie gadgets that they dont even know how to run. I bet I could get a video of them going “blaa, blaa, blaa”

  12. Mochi on October 23, 2009 at 1:36 pm

Aww…I was so hoping to hear the howlfest!

You should hear our neighborhood when any type of emergency vehicle goes up or down the road. It’s a doggie chorus! 🙂

  13. NCMountainwoman on October 23, 2009 at 11:40 am

The photographs are enough to convince me that the chorus was in rare form! I loved it.

  14. Denns the Vizsla on October 23, 2009 at 11:37 am

This happens to me every time I try to get a picture of Elvis raiding our trash looking for peanut butter containers that aren’t quite empty!

  15. zoehuskydog on October 23, 2009 at 9:58 am

Doh! I’m sure he’ll be able to get you going again, since we huskies
loooooooove to sing!! Just a little ‘woooo’ from my human gets me going.

  16. Khyra on October 23, 2009 at 9:55 am

It must have been THAT time! Mom khaught me doing my mini-howls the other night –

Akhtually, if the phone rings I’ll begin to howl at it – she akhtually khaught them on her moving pikhtures setting –

Of khourse, one me is WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY less than all of WOO!

PeeEssWoo: If woo heards khries of pain, it was only them getting Unkhle Paul out of bed fur the furst time a bit ago!

  17. KB on October 23, 2009 at 9:49 am

We need to hear the sound!!!!! Please spend some time with your dad on how to work the camera. Great photos though, with snouts straight in the air!

  18. MAXDOG on October 23, 2009 at 9:41 am

EISH MAN! …and those humans didn’t even get the “WALKIES!” message! Mom says that she would love to hear the Sibe Chorus sometime…it must be quite beautiful.
