Sunday Stretch
A big believer in physical fitness, Roscoe works hard to keep himself fit and trim (we won’t mention Hu-Dad not offering extra meal rations). His primary exercise is wrestling his bestest-brother-ever. In between bouts, he recommends a good stretching regimen. (P.S.—We won’t mention that Roscoe just finished a sunny nap either).

Explaining Typhoon can be challenging. His self-assured belief is that the world should conform to his every wish. Human requests are mere nuisances. Sure, we can describe him, but then a photo comes along that does a much better job. We give you pure attitude.

Our photographer (aka, Hu-Dad) attempted to photograph Roscoe snorfling the yard. Roscoe, of course, figured out Hu-Dad’s plan right away and came over to investigate. So if you feel you’re being stalked today, well, you are.

First, Hu-Dad awakened Frankie from a good nap to go outside for a quick break. Then, Hu-Dad wanted a few pictures and asked Frankie to smile when all he wanted to do was get business done and get back to the important job of napping. This side-eye communicates Frankie is too busy for photos, thank you.

We’re serious about our games, particularly our favorite—tackle-wrestle-bitey face-body slam-tag you’re it. Nothing, but nothing is more important. Unless, of course, something interesting happens at the neighbor’s house and we need to snoop—er, monitor the situation. Don’t worry, though, the action resumed as soon as we grew bored.

Just the other day, we shared the lure of the brown eyes which few can resist. And, of course, our senior sibe can always resort to his subtle but persistent sweet charm. Seriously, though, when he adds the Frankie head tilt, Hu-Dad can never say no. Could you?

The photographer blames many things. The low light caused by the setting sun. The challenge in predicting where the speeding Landon might appear in the yard. The other dogs interfering. Let’s face it, though, the photographer is too slow and Landon is way too fast.

As the setting sun casts its long shadows across the wild forest, a furry beast emerges from his lair. His eyes twinkling, the ears focused, and that ridiculous tail on full alert. It’s the Twilight Boom Boom.
P.S. – Ignore the grass hanging from his mouth. It takes away from the serious pose.

Frankie noticed the sprinkler was near his favorite perch. He uses that spot to monitor the antics of his younger brothers and would prefer that it never get wet. So, yes, he deployed the brown eyes to communicate his wishes. Don’t worry. No water was sprayed.

Typhoon has claimed a spot of the yard as his own, with its cool, comfy, cushion of grass. He has no plans to move and wants everyone to leave him alone to maximize napping.

A beautiful day in the yard means a perfect time for Siberian games. The wrestling matches. The chases. And, most importantly, the sneak attacks. In today’s photo, Typhoon has locked his sights on his bestest-buddy-ever, Roscoe, who doesn’t see the pounce coming.
Read Today's Herd StoryBe Roscoe Happy
Roscoe doesn’t like everything. He’s not a fan of walking in the rain. He can be grumpy when he’s sleepy. And don’t even think about being late with a meal. But he loves long walks in any other weather. Thinks twice-a-day food is a miracle. Curling up on the human bed as Hu-Dad reads is awesome. And having the bestest-big-brother, lots of wrestling, cool grass under the paws, neighbors to watch, and… well, just try to be as happy as that silly grin says.
