Typhoon has long amused our neighbors with his extreme yard naps, but what fun is an afternoon siesta all by yourself? Roscoe P. joined his bestest buddy ever for some sunny snoozes. Don’t tell him that the shifting sun has caused the shade to slip over.

Roscoe loves wrestling with his bestest buddy ever, but sometimes Typhoon prefers to not engage. Good luck with that, Ty, because Roscoe is the master talker who will talk on and on and on until you can’t take another minute. Just look at Ty’s face and you know the games are about to begin.

Many of our readers asked what Landon did that caused Frankie to a put paw down and demand better behavior. Hu-Dad went back to the string of photos and found this as the perfect explanation. The Boom Boom was racing through the roses, so the Frankster had to tell him to slow down. Amazing that Landon can go from leaping to full braking mode in just a few steps.

Our crazy, high-speed games require blazing fast straightaways coupled with wickedly tight cornering skills. Roscoe loves seeing how fast he can take the turns, but does admit to one, slight problem. Dewy grass first thing in the morning can be a challenge. A wipe out may dampen the fur, but it never dampens the spirit, so the chase quickly resumes.

Frankie Suave earned his nickname by his calm, cool demeanor. Other than thunder and other loud noises, not much bothers him. When he became the eldest in The Herd, his leadership style matched that personality. As long as the youngsters left him out of the mess, he didn’t stop their fun. Sometimes, though, a dog just has to put a paw down and say stop. This photo caught one of those moments.

True confession time. Roscoe is a daddy’s boy. He loves, loves, loves his Hu-Dad (almost as much as his bestest brother ever, Typhoon) and never wants to be separated. Even as this is being typed, he’s curled up at Hu-Dad’s feet. Actually, on Hu-Dad’s feet. You know, in case he moves and tries to leave the room without the appropriate canine escort.

The bestest buddies ever maintain a constant game of one-upmanship in their never-ending competition. First Roscoe goes for an advantage, then Typhoon. The fancy footwork of evasion will quickly be followed with a pounce of revenge. So goes the Dance of the Trouble Brothers.

We are nearing post number 5,000 which is awesome, but it’s hard to find new stories to tell after we’ve told so many. Hu-Dad tried to mix things up by lying on the ground to take photos, but that seemed a wee bit curious to Frankie Suave.

We’ve shared dozens and dozens of photos of Typhoon snoozing, rolling, or stretching in the grass of Chez Herd, but Roscoe decided he can’t let his brother have all the fun. Or maybe the grass has achieved the perfect spring thickness. Whatever the reason, we’ve spotted many a Roscoe roll the last few days.
