As a working breed, we appreciate the efforts involved in labor, but our exhausting security work wears us out.

We put a lot of time and effort into the protection of our houseā€”mainly keeping squirrels, birds, and other nefarious creatures far away (or, frustratingly, in the trees over our heads). Such labor can really zap energy.

Don’t worry, though, no matter how tired we might be, we’re always prepared to spring into battle at the slightest suspicion of evil invaders.

    My little pack is obsessed with Squirrels. One of them opened the door and all ran out chasing the Rat with a fluffy tail. Good work boys…keeping Chez Herd safe!

      We didnā€™t have squirrels at the old Chez Herd, so no, but we caught lots of voles and Typhoon caught dozens of rabbits.

        I remember the story of the flashlight…where Hu-Dad shined it right at a rabbit and Typhoon all but said thank you before he took off. Such a sweet boy! I was wondering if he had lucked up with a squirrel yet. Never a dull moment.

    I agree with Tammy J-Hu-Dad having to get WAY down to take those floor shots are exhausting too!! BUT good job Typhoon and Roscoe for your security work!

    just think… getting Hu Dad down on the floor to take the close up shots
    of those tired looks is work too. even if just slightly psychologically! lol. xo
