Walking With Dorian

The incredibly slow hurricane is still approaching, so the boys went walking with Dorian in between the many bands of rain yesterday.

Proof that walks happen even with a hurricane approaching.

As of Wednesday evening when this post was written, we were receiving gusty winds, bands of rain, and some high tides in the salt marsh, but things were still fairly calm. The storm is expected to peak Thursday around 2 pm with the highest storm surge coinciding with the afternoon high tide (2:42 PM EDT for us, though it varies based on location on the coast). We were able to get a long walk in Wednesday afternoon, probably the last we will get other than short breaks until Friday morning.

Hey, squirrel, come home with us and get out of the storm.

As we hunker down for the day, we thought we would share a photo to make everyone smile. Despite the impending storm, the blustery wind, and the rain, Typhoon knew what to do on a walk to make Hu-Dad laugh.

Hey, Dorian, try walking backwards!
Hey, Dorian, try walking backwards!

P.S. – No clue when we will post next, but as we have said all week—Good thoughts to everyone in the path. Stay safe, be smart, and see you on the backside.

I agree with Laura on the fact of Typhoon and his walking backwards!! Even with Dorian impending-he brings a smile to us all! Sending thoughts for safety for all.

We’ll be watching Dorian’s progress with positive thoughts that your house gets little to no impact!

Typhoon you never disappoint! As I looked at the 1st photo, I immediately thought “Ty isn’t walking backwards”. I assumed his canine instincts had kicked in and he sensed the impending storm. No time to waste…walk forward. Much to my surprise and pleasure, the last photo tells it all! Stay safe, stay alert, stay forward! Hi paws to the Prince for making our day!♥️????????????
