Harvey’s visit to us here at Chez Herd is merely a few days of rain, unlike all of our friends who have really suffered from the impact of the hurricane. We are thinking of everyone who has been impacted by this terrible storm. We wish you the speediest of recovery and will be thinking of you in the weeks and months to come.
Fortunately, Harvey will just bring us 2-3 inches of rain, a fairly normal summer storm system crossing our mountains. As we approach our dry fall months, and the fire season that brings with it, we are thankful to receive a good soaking.
For canines, however, this is a couple of days of boredom. As the rain fell from the sky, Hu-Dad could hear some deep sighs. We hope today’s Film Friday captures that feeling – and hope you appreciate the couple of rebels who decided to ignore the rain and have fun anyway.

Mom ‘n Ebby say: I think this movie is the first time we’ve seen Landon with his tail NOT flagging. He MUST be disgusted! They all look just plain “bored out of their skulls”. Don’t blame Qannik and Landon for finally making a break for it!
Can’t they just curl up with good book on rainy days? Glad you just got boredom and not a deluge.
Texas is just heartbreaking. I ordered some supplies on Amazon for Brother Wolf to take down there. So many animal groups converging to help. Good advice was to donate to local organizations in affected areas for animals and people.
