Yesterday was a perfect spring-like day encouraging lots of sunshine napping at Chez Herd, though we did have a slight hole develop.
The art of napping is lost on the young and their endless energy. Let’s say that almost everyone enjoyed lots of sunshine napping while a certain youngster amused himself.
Don’t worry. While the children played, the adults took full advantage of such a beautiful day.
Believe it or not, just a week ago, we were dealing with several days of subfreezing temperatures and snow. In case you had forgotten, Hu-Dad has some photos of the weather over at his photography blog.

Wings of Doom

A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
My back yard looks like it’s been pelted with mortar rounds! Will need a ton of topsoil to fill it back in. Anni and Tasha have been busy! ????

Ebby sez: Hey Landon, didn’t the ground get all frozen there? It sure did here, much too solid for any digging for awhile yet.
Our winter was much too warm. No frozen ground here.
