We have told you before about the Ranch above our house and even showed you the view of Chez Herd from the ranch. Well, we were up there again Sunday afternoon to see the views of the leaves.
While the humans were enjoying the mountain views, the dogs were very intrigued with totally different scenery. What could possibly have their attention?

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
I miss the girls. I think you need to a 1 or 2 to the herd…soon. LOL
So beautiful! Love seeing the herd in the Jeep. I first was introduced to the Herd when we lived in Asheville & I saw the jeep tooling around town!! I started following then. On this Thanksgiving eve I am grateful to Hu-Dad for sharing the tales of the Thundering Herd!! Happy thanksgiving ???
Beautiful country!
I miss Kiska ? My 14yo girl has that same unruly fur.
I so love seeing the original 6 Sibes from the Herd. Those views are gorgeous for sure. LOVE the comment about that BIG DOG though.
Happy Thanksgiving all!!
We want one of those big dogs of our own!
Princess Eva
Beautiful photo’s.. Rusty and Natasha are having fun also!
Those crazy Great Dane Horses! I swear, some day I will get to play with one.
Kat
What a beautiful place you have. We love the colors..
Those are some cool pictures of you all in the car. Looks like you are saying let us out NOW..

Mum says the scenery is lovely! I want to meet the big dog though.

I think I want one of those big dogs of my very own. Where do I get one, please?

Thundering Herd!
OMDog, I am just dying to go to that place now, those are the most spectacular Autumn views EVER!
Sparky
GREAT view!!! And the mountains are nice, too. Ha roo roo roo!
Play bows,
Zim
We are so jealous of that view! Mom LOVES the colors!
Did you guys try to play with the big dogs? 🙂
Mochi
You have such pretty places to go exploring. My mom never takes me anywhere but the same boring roads. She says she’d take us to the parks if it would ever stop raining. 🙂
I’ve always thought that autumn leaves viewed from above look like a giant bowl of Trix cereal. Oh, wait, did I just say that out loud?
I feel so scenery deprived after seeing yours AND KB’s –
Oh well, at least I have MY tree – BTW, I’m pawing this khomment FROM my tree!

I love the colors – such a variety of reds, oranges, and yellows. They remind me of my earlier years on the east coast.
I’m surprised that the horse didn’t turn tail and run when he saw all those sibes hanging out the windows! What a great photo!
I’ve been watching the PBS special about our national parks – and I just got to the part about the Smokey Mountains. What a beautiful place. It holds a record of some sort for the greatest variety of trees in a temperate forest. I guess that explains the array of colors!
Oh, what a breathtaking view!!! The humans love the scenic view – the pups think the big dogs look like fun.
Woos, the OP Pack
You are right Mr. Wall. It’s my job to supervise…but tele-supervising is tough. You’ve got to focus all your strength and try to visualize the office – try to see what those two are up to – sometimes it becomes so strenuous that I fall asleep.
I like the grass-eating dog in the picture? Is that a Siberian Vegan?
Licks n wags,
Oorvi
Hey there all of you!
That view is stunning and you live in an absolutely idyllic setting! Mom would donate her back teeth to live there! The colours are exquisite!
We had to laugh at the picture of you all hanging out of the window. Your mom should link you up to some sort of ‘wheelie-sled’…with the petrol price as it is, I would think that the idea would be both ‘green’, ‘highly efficient’ and totally cost effective! hehe:)
