S-RV Sentry Duty

Last week, we showed you Kiska on sentry duty.  She is just as alert when in the S-RV and monitors all movement near the RV (even as Natasha snoozes in the background):

Even Cheoah can be quite the sentry:

Rusty, on the other hand, is taking his break:

Hi there-I just stumbled across your blog via KB’s Romp Roll Rockies blog. I love your site! We live in Colorado and we have had 6-9 rescued dogs, all 60-100 lbs, for the past 10 years. Sadly, our family consists of just 5 dogs now having just lost our husky mix 2 weeks ago (The Monkey). You are one of the few people who I’ve found who hikes their dogs on leash-it made me so happy! I’m an ecologist and am a big believer in keeping dogs leash for their own safety and the safety of wildlife. We also used to have a travel trailer to go places with our crew. The dogs would travel in Vanzilla with us and then we’d all retire to the TT…we had it set up with big metal crates like you did 🙂 Made me so happy to see another happy traveling dog family 🙂 We now have 7 rescued horses so we’ve stopped traveling, but it’s nice to travel vicariously through you and your thundering herd. They are just beautiful…thank you for encouraging people to rescue!

I bet you have a great vantage point from the spot over the cab. I like to the “tail gunner” spot in the 4Runner. I’ve always got Dad’s six!

I start off on sentry duty and then I end up looking like Natasha and Rusty. 🙂

Haroo! I like Rusty’s idea of sentry duty!

BTW, my brother Jackal has given you a blog award so when you get the chance one of you can zoom on over to his blog and pick it up. Its pretty cool.

I’m the only one on sentry duty here ’cause my momster is a bit lazy. It’s SUCH hard work, I wish I had a brother or sister to split up sentry duty. I can’t watch the back door, front door AND garage door at the same time!!!

We’ve split up sentry duty. Eva watches the backyard and I watch the front. Seems to work for us.

Is there a “changing of the guard” at dusk?

    Ah yes!

    Rusty 😉
