Comfortable?

During one of our hikes on Sunday, we stopped for a while in a very rocky area.  Not exactly a place with cool grasses to lay in or dirt that could be moved around to make a nice bed.  But somehow, Qannik figured out a way to make it comfortable anyway.  First, of course, you have to pick your spot:

Once the spot is picked out, you need to start stretching into the space that exists.  Since rocks of this size do not move, this takes a great deal of careful selection in order to stretch out just so:

And once your selection is made, you are now comfortable, even though it may not look like it:

Probably helpful to be fluffy.

I’m impressed! I don’t think I would have thought of that. 🙂 Where did the rest of the herd rest?

You must have been very tired, because that doesn’t look that comfy.

Being fluffy is definitely a good thing. Personally, I think the humans should provide a nice soft blanket for the pups when they want to lie down on the rocks like that.

Hmmmm, how do you fit in there? That doesn’t really look comfy to me, either!

Fluff has more helpful properties than you can imagine! I think that’s why my mom keeps trying to steal mine…..

Amazing! somehow, Qannik, we don’t think Dakota would do that, she likes things to be very soft. Hope you didn’t have to rest there too long, but maybe the rocks were cool.

Nice to see you featuring each pup.

What!!! The humans must be taught a lesson. If they insist on stopping in rocky places, they need to lay down so that you can rest on them.
