Five Thousand!!!

Just a little, tiny milestone today as this is post number five thousand, so cause for a little celebration around Chez Herd.

The Trouble Brothers monitoring the neighbors - five thousand
The Trouble Brothers monitoring the neighbors

As Hu-Dad mentioned earlier this week in his Monday Musing, this is the 5,000th post here on the Thundering Herd! Our readers have contributed 43,966 comments on the website and spammers added eleventy-seven bazillion that we blocked (We counted). Oh, and 14,855 photos of us have been shared. Crazy, we know, but we’re looking to celebrate. Roscoe and Typhoon think our neighbors should share the steaks they’re cooking on their grill.

Wow 5K ! I was first introduced to the Herd when I was in Asheville. I saw the Jeep & began to follow you! Alas I never got to see the Herd in person 😫 the HokiePack has been up to six and now at four – the rescue struggle is real ! Lovely dogs and so many tossed away. Thanks for your rescue efforts ! Here’s to 5k more ❤️🙌🍾

Congratulations on your 5,000th post. You have giving us so much pleasure from seeing your beautiful photos, a great way to start the day. Over the years I have laughed and cried. Hu-Dad has shared his herd with us, and we appreciate it. Thank you for so many great stores. I think the neighbors should share some of their steaks with you.

WooWoo! Wish I could recall who told me about your website 13 years ago when we got our mostly husky girl from a GSD rescue…with no GSD. Ha! First dog, and all that fur! She looked a lot like Kiska. Thanks in part to you sharing your “husky expertise”, I’ve come to love this stubborn, conniving, too-smart-for-their-own-good breed! Carry on!

We registered TheThunderingHerd.com on July 4 2007, so it’s been a little over 16 years. Not quite daily posting. Right now, we are posting five new stories a week (Way Back Wednesdays and the Monday Musings don’t count).
