As the eldest boy among the Herd, Frankie Suave takes his job seriously. He enjoys sprawling on the deck and watching the younger boys play in the yard and the birds hunt for food in the salt marsh behind our house.

The big birds enjoy pulling fish from the waters at high tide and searching for shellfish and crabs at low tide. Frankie enjoys watching all of them work from his cool, shady spot.

Yes, we are a working breed and Frankie’s job is to watch all of the happenings of the marsh. It’s a tough job, but somepup has to do it.
