During our walk yesterday afternoon, we encountered the cat sitting on top of the pile of recycled oyster shells and determined he is hard of hearing.
The oyster shell recycling bin is getting fuller and fuller. We canines consider the monstrous pile to be of great interest, but felines apparently really love it. For example, this cat is sitting on top of a pile of thousands and thousands of shells and won’t move. Oh, you can’t see him? Here is a close up.
We are betting a bunch of you are going back to the first photo and trying to find the cat. Really, he is there. And that gives you an idea of how many shells he is claiming. Yes, we think that is very shellfish of him.
Go ahead and laugh. Hu-Dad worked hard on that one.
But back to our story… Typhoon and Roscoe were amazedāabsolutely amazedāto discover the cat really didn’t care how much they suggested he should move along.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
Still laughing!!! Cats just donāt understand doggy dignity Guys!!!
Hu-Dad is sure making us laugh here at the office with that joke. That kitty wasn’t moving from the oyster shell pile. We could barely see them in the first photo. It was like camouflage with their furs. Thanks for sharing. Have a wondeful rest of your week.
I was wondering how Landon reacts to the kitty.
Poor Typhoon and Roscoe, they appear shell shocked by the unmovable cat. (Bad joke intended) Can’t imagine the smell as the pile increases. Thanks for sharing all the adventures.
Hu-Dad this post REALLY made me laugh-your joke plus the dogs NOT believing the cat will NOT move along!! A great start to a Monday morning!
