Pool Is Open (Time To Test The Waters)

As our home renovation projects are moving along, we hit a momentous occasion yesterday—the pool is open and the humans are ready to test the waters).

Whoa! I can see my reflection!
Whoa! I can see my reflection!

The pool had been covered and closed for a couple of years, so reopening it was a part of the renovation projects at our new home. After quite a bit of rehabilitation, the pool expert declared the water safe and said the pool is open.

Time to test the water.
Time to test the water.

Not so fast, Typhoon Phooey, apparently the pool is open for humans but not canines. Our fence will be one of the last pieces of the renovation and can’t be completed until the exterior of the house is complete. Once done, the fence will keep curious canines from unsupervised pool time, not that we really expect anyone but Cheoah would be interested in the first place. We expect if His Highness had succeeded in touching the water with his paw, he would have been mightily displeased.

Typhoon won’t go in as he would get his feety feet wet!

Mom & Ebby say: What?? No pool time for Sibes? How rude! Of course, Siberians aren’t known as “water dogs”, though we had one, Kiah, who loved the water. You couldn’t keep her out of it She was an excellent swimmer. Ayla, not so much. She loved to play in her wading pool, but lakes, creeks, not so much. Ebby, well, NOT IN THIS LIFETIME! She doesn’t even like getting her feet wet!

I think that is marvelous you have a pool now! Such a vast difference than the old place – am truly enjoying all the photography of the local wildlife (and dogs).

I agree with Sea Wolf! Cheoah should be allowed to use the pool. She is the Queen now, after all.

Awww no pupper pool time? Mine love the water and the pool. In and out all the time. Hope miss Cheesy gets to get her feet wet at least. Maybe try a swim? Swimming is good therapy. She should float well with all that fluff. Might get the boys interested too.

Good boy Roscoe-working on your tan and staying away from the water! It’s funny that the boys aren’t really interested except Miss Cheoah! I ca’t wait to see pictures when all the renovations are completed.
