We had a mere 3.6 inches of rain fall on us yesterday (starting with storms at 1 a.m.—ugh), so sorry that we had to present a rainy Roscoe.
The storms that have been crossing the country arrived at Chez Herd at 1 a.m. Friday morning. Hu-Dad knows this because Frankie woke him up to make sure he was aware of the thunder. And every time Hu-Dad tried to drift back off to sleep, Frankie woke him up again. It’s good to remind Hu-Dad of these things.
During the day on Friday, we had a whopping 3.6 inches of rain (over 9 centimeters). Rivers throughout the region are out of their banks, but we are safe up here on the mountain. We hope the same can be said for all of our neighbors dealing with flooding rivers and mudslides.

Hurricane Hugo Memories
September 21, 2024
Thirty-five years ago, a massive storm hammered our region and left a path of destruction, leaving us with Hurricane Hugo memories.
Roscoe’s so happy he landed at Doggy-Disneyland. I feel for Frankie (and Hu-Dad of course.) Noise anxiety is a tough one to deal with.
Roscoe is happy in rain, snow, sleet, hail, and sun!!! It’s a beautiful sight ❤️
that smile!
he just has me always at hello. Roscoe! you’re beautiful!!! xo
That last photo says it all-Roscoe is a VERY happy boy even when wet! Poor Hu-Dad with Frankie being freaked out with the thunder. Our boy Bradley isn’t happy when those thunder boomers crash and the lightning lights up the bedroom!
