After all of our storms, we finally had a beautiful, sunny, blue-sky day, perfect for relaxing outdoors. Until the aerial assault began.
The rain and wind stopped. The clouds parted. The sun came out. An absolutely perfect mountain day to enjoy the yard. Until a giant bird swooped overhead.
A pair of Army Chinook helicopters flew along the mountain tops including right over our heads. We were all in awe of the big birds.
Our fierce show of security clearly scared the big bird away and we watched him turn tail and run.
Miss Kiska must be smiling down on our boys as they took her security training to heart. Look at them defending the perimeter.

Hurricane Hugo Memories
September 21, 2024
Thirty-five years ago, a massive storm hammered our region and left a path of destruction, leaving us with Hurricane Hugo memories.
Nice Job Boys! Ms Kiska would be proud. Miss you girl. ????
Good job boys and girls! Do you ever get the military jets doing passbys? Somebody’s relative must be doing the ones occasionally over here in LS. Can I plug Nicole Wilde’s blog on dog training and behavior? See [email protected] I have several of her books and dvds but my pack says “It doesn’t apply to them, they are free spirited nomads of the north”, Ha!
You can feel the air move when those things fly over. The kids must have wondered what was going on.
Wow! Look how strong and mighty you guys stand your ground!!! Well done boys!!
A job well done guys. Extra Valentine treats today from Hu-Dad for keeping him safe.
GOOD job of scaring away those BIG BIRDS and defending the property! I know Miss Kiska taught you well and is so proud. Happy Valentines Day to the Thundering Herd and Hu-Dad and all!!!
Did the big birds leave Valentine treats for the pups?
