Five Deer And A Screaming Dog

You may be wondering about today’s story. What do five deer and a screaming dog have to do with each other? Let’s ask Boom Boom.

A different herd outside Hu-Dad's study.
A different herd outside Hu-Dad’s study.

Hu-Dad has lots of projects to finish before the end of the year, so he was very focused in his study. Until the screams started.

We hear the screaming, too.
We hear the screaming, too.

Do you think this is a post about deer screaming? Why, of course not.

Don't be silly. We aren't screaming.
Don’t be silly. We aren’t screaming.

So if they weren’t screaming, who was?

SCREECH!
SCREECH!

Yep, we had a Boom Boom scream. And, trust us, that is one high-volume, high-pitched squeal that can bust ear drums and shatter glass. His excited sound runs somewhere in the range between loudspeaker feedback and fingers on a chalkboard. And was he ever excited to see our visitors wander by Hu-Dad’s study.

The Little Prince was more refined as he watched.

A neighbor has a part Sib who screams when he’s excited ie; see my dog while we are walking. Poor man is so embarrassed by this he apologized a million times, LOL! I keep telling him that we don’t mind. The dog can’t help his breed 😀

Beautiful shots of the does. Landon probably saw potential playmates. I would have loved to hear the audio also. (Juno is always fascinated with wildlife and horses. She wanted to play with a coyote on a walk once and I knew what the coyote was up to.) Looking forward to your book coming out. I’ll definitely be buying a copy.

5 beautiful Huskies and 5 beautiful deer, what more could you want. Looks like you lucky guys will be getting snow for the weekend. Enjoy

Wow-Boom Boom-I wish Hu-Dad would have recorded that sound(although warning us before hand to cover our ears)! That herd of deer must have driven you wild and loved the Little Prince just taking it calmly all in! The Chez Herd stories make my mornings-for sure!
