The sun was rising. Morning settled on Chez Herd. And a glance out the kitchen window showed a very thoughtful Boom Boom enjoying it all.

For a boy who is usually bouncing and flitting about the yard, the photos in today’s post catch a rare occurrence – a Boom Boom at rest. He seemed to be enjoying the rising sun and the burning away of the morning mist.

As the sun rose higher in the sky and the frost burned off the ground, Landon settled into his spot to enjoy a cool fall day.

Definitely a handsome boy. Those Carolina blue eyes are enough to make a heart skip beats and take your breath away (I admit mine does every time I see him). Hu dad has no choice but to watch Boom Boom and put camera to good use!! Maybe even white stuff flying this weekend!
