After yesterday’s non-walk because of Florence, we were excited to stretch our legs, though tricky Mother Nature fooled us again.
The rain fell off and on throughout Monday, but our hope for a walk grew as the evening seemed to hint of a nice break. Seeing a hint of blue sky behind the clouds, Hu-Dad hooked us up and we took off. It might have had something to do with Landon’s endless energy. Or his squeakiness when he wants something.
Just one slight technical problem in our stroll. Mother Nature decided to unleash a real soaker on us. And, of course, it started at the half-way point in our walk, so we had no choice but to get wet. Very wet.

Hurricane Hugo Memories
September 21, 2024
Thirty-five years ago, a massive storm hammered our region and left a path of destruction, leaving us with Hurricane Hugo memories.
Oh no… four sponges with muddy feeties. (Hope you dinner wasn’t delayed.) C’mon snow!
Florence has made it to Massachusetts today 🙁
Rainy walk this morning, but it’s supposed to be out of here later this afternoon!
We can deal with the rainy walks…I am feeling so sorry for all those having to deal with FLOODING!!
So glad to hear that”the herd” is safe and can go home to a warm, dry house!
The collies agree, rain and getting wet, is no fun! Today is going to be a non-fun day, Florence’s precipitation is suppose to drench us all day.
AAWW-too bad about Mother’s nature fooling you HuDad! I bet there were LOTS of towels to dry the herd off when you returned home? Here’s hoping today brings better weather for you and that bunch of great dogs!!!
