After dinner last night, Hu-Dad hung out with his camera on the senior porch for a little Kiska evening photography. She just wanted to go inside.
Kiska’s wooly coat requires a great deal of grooming to keep it looking good. To compensate for the weakness in her back legs, Hu-Dad keeps grooming time until short little bursts to avoid too much strain. He also mixes in a little photography time.
Unfortunately, Kiska’s definition of long enough is a wee bit shorter than the Hu-Dad’s which inevitably leads to a discussion like this.

She is still my favorite so beautiful so regal
Sweet Kiska. Would she tolerate a sling for grooming? I used one on my old 15 year old so I could brush her. She was was a lab mix though and it didn’t take as long to brush her out.
We use the sling from time to time while walking. She’s not a big fan of it, but tolerates it.
What’s causing the weakness in Miss Kiska’s legs? I have a senior Husky Miss Cheyenne 12 & she’s a wooly also. She sends soft woos to a fellow senior girl Kiska
Long-term degenerative spinal issues. We have been treating for years with both pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical techniques, but time is slowly winning the battle.
Love to Miss Kiska. Been following your blog a long time. Sheβs become a very grand old dame ????
Ms. Kiska, you are such a gorgeous lady! That’s why Hu-Dad takes photographs. Your beautiful, heart-shaped face and dark expressive eyes makes us want to see photographs, and kiss your sweet face! Hu-Dad, will you give her a kiss and ear scratches for me please? Thank you!
