Are We Having Spring-Winter or Winter-Spring?

April is a great month of change as Mother Nature guides us between seasons – and gives us lots of days of spring-winter or winter-spring.

Hu-Dad, why is the grass green and snow is falling?

Hu-Dad, why is the grass green and snow is falling?

Late last week, we were having sunny days with highs in the mid-to-upper 60’s. Sunday, we had two inches of driving rain. And, Monday, the temperature struggled to break freezing and snow fell all day.

Mother Nature is so confused.

Mother Nature is so confused.

As Hu-Dad prepares this post, our temperature is 22ºF (-6ºC), snow is falling, and we have a roaring fire in the fireplace. But, don’t worry, Wednesday is supposed to be sunny with a high in the mid-60’s again.

Nope. Going back to bed.

Nope. Going back to bed.

Which leads us all to wonder if it is Spring, Winter, Spring-Winter, or Winter-Spring.

It’s nuts everywhere. Several inches of snow one day, hot the next, in Colo. And the east coast can’t catch a break. Our dogs just roll with it.
