Don’t Wait Up For Me

With a late project messing up the schedule, a certain ever loyal canine must have heard the phrase, “Don’t wait up for me.”

Don't wait up for me -Got it.

Don’t wait up for me -Got it.

Most evenings, Frankie patiently waits in Hu-Dad’s study while he wraps up a few busyness tasks. About 8 pm, they move into the bedroom where Hu-Dad will pull out the latest novel he is reading, prop up, and flip through a few pages. Frankie assists by curling up beside the Hu-Dad and providing a soft snoring background.

Last night, when Hu-Dad finally wrapped up his work, he looked around for his loyal canine pal, but couldn’t find him. After a bit of searching, he went into the bedroom and discovered that someone had already gone to bed.

Just keeping the bed warm for you, Hu-Dad.

Just keeping the bed warm for you, Hu-Dad.

They try to keep us on schedule. My girl will occasionally go to bed before I do, usually at the same time every night. If I don’t show up shortly after, she will come out and woo woo at me, letting me know I’m late.
