First Snow of The Season – Serious Fun

Our first snow of the season finally fell – a serious amount of snow – which created a lot of serious fun around Chez Herd.

A lot more snow than expected.

A lot more snow than expected.

For most of the week, weather forecasters said that we might see a dusting of snow on Friday and Saturday. Maybe even a half an inch. On Thursday, however, they started suggesting we might have 1 – 3 inches of snow, maybe even 4. Through the end of the day Saturday. We thought that would be a lot of fun.

Did my legs shrink or did we get more snow than predicted.

Did my legs shrink or did we get more snow than predicted?

By late Friday afternoon, we already had 9 inches of snow and it was still falling steadily, so we will be well over a foot by sunrise Saturday morning.

Snow. Glorious snow.

Snow. Glorious snow.

Now, we know what you are thinking. You haven’t seen any smiles yet. You want some smiles. You want pure, ecstatic joy plastered on our faces. Right? Ok, fine.

Snow! We have snow!

Snow! We have snow!

Snow makes me fly!

Snow makes me fly!

Isn't snow the best thing ever?

Isn’t snow the best thing ever?

We are getting our first snow today, and our Winter puppy is experiencing the white stuff for the first time in her young life. She was too little to go out in it last winter.

Looks like your guys are having a wonderful time!
