In our RV travels, we get to see and experience so many things. Yesterday, we saw some modern communications technology that we have to share.
Hu-Dad is forever losing his cell phone. You would not believe the number of times he has to call it just so he can hear it ring and then find it.
And he gripes that he can’t always get a good cellular signal. And the monthly plans are way expensive.
Yesterday, on our walks, we discovered some cutting edge, modern communications technology. You don’t need any sort of plan to use it – just insert a few coins. Can you imagine how cool it would be if these were everywhere so that we could move beyond these crazy little pocket phones?

Hurricane Hugo Memories
September 21, 2024
Thirty-five years ago, a massive storm hammered our region and left a path of destruction, leaving us with Hurricane Hugo memories.
Mom ‘n Ebby say: Come to think of it, even up here in the “far North” of Canada, namely the Peace River Country of Northern British Columbia, we haven’t seen pay phones anywhere for ages, either. Mostly because everyone carries their phone with them these days, it just doesn’t “pay” anymore.
This had me laughing! I miss payphones! There are none around here!
Never thought I’d miss the day of the tethered telephone…. ????
It would be even better if they dropped dog treats from the coin return.
Agreed! bol!
