Life is so unfair for some Siberian Huskies since we had a neighborhood snow, but none at Chez Herd. How can that happen?
The temperatures plummeted and our neighbors at Cataloochee Ski fired up their snow guns yesterday afternoon. They have not yet announced an opening date, but we know they have serious snow-making skills, so we expect it will be early this week.
Sadly, we can only watch all of that beautiful snow. Since we don’t have any of the fluffy white stuff on our ground, some of our veteran dogs were not as easily impressed as Landon.

Lost in Fur: Tech Gone Wrong
March 21, 2025
Smart tech meets shedding chaos. My newest robovac takes on four Siberian Huskies—only to get hilariously lost in an avalanche of fur.
Skinny Boom & sweet Cheesewiz!
Do love posts from the past.
Here’s wishing for some nice fluffy snow for the Herd BUT of course maybe Hu-Dad isn’t as anxious for that to happen?
BTW-I just finished the new book and LOVED IT!!!!! Good job.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
We’ll all be happy when we see the herd frolicking in snow.
Aww Cheoah it’s time to curl up on the couch with a nice fluffy blanket
Time to sit by the fire in the chimney!
We wish we could, but because of our extreme drought conditions and the numerous wildfires, Hu-Dad has opted not to light our fire in the fireplace until we get some rain. Sigh.
Rain in the form of snow would be nice for the pups!!
