With winter rapidly approaching, our Chief of Security is busy warning wildlife away from Sibe Quentin. Would you challenge her?
Our temperatures have been flirting with freezing all week and the days are getting shorter, sure signs that winter is rapidly approaching. Our area wildlife is busy preparing for the cold to come.
In the last couple of weeks, we have seen everything from turkey, deer, coyote and bear around the house, with lots of smaller creatures busy as well. They all have kept a respectful distance from our fence. Perhaps it was this look that our Chief of Security gave them. Would you consider this a challenge?

Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldnât have been much worse.
Those are some gorgeous pictures of Kiska!
Mom ‘n Ebby say: Kiska looks like she takes her job seriously. Dont’ think we’d want to challenge her for territory! Keep up the good work, Kiska, hold the fort — errrr, the compound!
I love that husky stare. So many things about them show the wolf heritage. Kiska has it down. How is she doing?
No way would I mess with the most precious Chief of security ever!!! â¤ď¸
I adore Kiska! If I were wildlife around Since Quentin, I would scurry away from Chief of Security! She looks like she keeps y’all safe from all intruders. :). (but she is ultra cute!!! Shh! Don’t tell her!)
