Autumn Days And Nights In August

We have been blessed this week with cool autumn days and nights. In fact, maybe a wee bit cooler than expected based on chosen napping spots.

Coveted sunny corner of the deck.

Coveted sunny corner of the deck.

Hu-Dad had taken to calling us “Vampire Dogs” for the last few weeks. As the early morning sun hits our deck, we had been insisting on escaping inside the house and away from the dreaded sun. For the last two days, however, we have chosen to stay outside . . . and nap in that same sunshine.

Just meeting our goal of being unpredictable, Hu-Dad.

Unfortunately, summer is not quite over, so we return to more seasonable weather later this week. Until then, we are just dreaming of the snow and cold right around the corner.

Dreaming of autumn days and nights.

Mom sez: I’m sure those dreamed of days (and weeks, and months) will come soon enough, and, for the humans at least, it’ll be “is this winter weather NEVER going to end?”
