Normal Walks and Surprises

Saturday was a beautiful day with a twist, so we had both normal walks and surprises. In other words, it was a perfect day.

Family Walk

Family Walk

With beautiful, sunny days for this weekend, we had a great family walk along the French Broad River in Carrier Park, Asheville. We love the walking trails in this park, especially this time of year before the park gets too crowded. Nothing too exciting in our walk – just perfectly normal. Well, normal for us.

Some of us might struggle with normal walks.

Some of us might struggle with normal walks.

We also had some surprises waiting on us when we got back home. Our favorite neighbors were back next door at Cataloochee Ranch – our Big Dog neighbors. They winter down near Charleston, SC, but had just finished the long ride back home and unloaded from their “limousines” (some really long trailers being hauled by trucks) when we arrived home. We were just able to get a quick picture of a few of them, because they were busy getting a late afternoon snack after that long ride.

As they get settled in, we will capture some more pictures of them. So great to have them back in the “neigh”borhood.

Any idea why Typhoon likes to walk backwards?

He is always looking at the humans when he does it, so maybe he is just making sure they are behaving properly. Regardless, some dogs just defy explanation and that would include Munchie (aka, Typhoon).

He certainly is a character. My Silky is pretty much behaved but makes us chase her around yard every morning to put on her harness. She loves to ‘talk’ when we play this game. Lovely dogs Sibes.
