Our winter may have been mild so far, but, like much of the east coast, we had a little snow this week.

Cheoah takes a short cut to building a snow fort.
Ok, like much of the east coast, we might have had a lot of snow. We have been waiting for months for this, so let’s just say this was like Christmas morning for Siberian Huskies.

Look how awesome that is!
With such perfect weather, Siberian games were in full swing. Let’s just call it a celebration!

We feel the need for speed!
And don’t worry about us. Those thick coats just repel the snow and water, so our human had to beg us to come inside.

This might look cold, but it’s awesome!
Happy dance. Happy dance. Happy dance.

We are sure you are busy preparing your Valentine cards and gifts since we have completed all eight nominations for our Third Annual Valentine’s Hearts for the Herd. Just mail a Valentine to your favorite member of The Herd at Dog’s Name, c/o The Thundering Herd, PO Box 1835, Maggie Valley, NC 28751. And it’s totally optional, but you can include a check made out to Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation to help out a homeless dog or cat just like Kipper:

Kipper is a nine week old ShihTzu Chihuahua mix boy. Wow is he a cutie! He’s as playful and as much fun as you would expect from a whopping three pound puppy!
