After a couple of months of waiting, we finally have some snow. It isn’t much and barely qualifies, but we will take what we can get at this point in the winter.

About time, Hu-Dad.
Our day time high temperatures never made it beyond 19ºF (-7ºC) and the early morning snow flurries just would not stop. Total snow fall was only about a half inch (1 cm), but we celebrated anyway.

Can’t catch me.
While the junior team romped and played, the seniors were more sedate in their celebration.

Hey, Kiska, they are making a lot of noise.

Don’t worry, Queen, the Fun Police is on the job.
Have no fears, dear readers, the games continued throughout the day. Certain pint-sized munchkins just don’t really listen to the Fun Police.

That’s me!

That child will never learn.
As the evening winds picked up and the wind chills dropped below zero, Hu-Dad declared it was time to go inside, site by the fire, and prepare for another day.

Can we do this again tomorrow?
Of course, a certain red-headed dog was mentioned in yesterday’s blog post regarding her desire to stay warm in cold weather. Apparently, that desire is only in snowless cold weather. Add some snow to the mix, and her attitude changed.

You can all go inside.

I am staying right here for a while.

Ordinary Goodness
February 26, 2025
An airplane crash. The plane came to rest upside down. The passengers hung from their seatbelts. And then came the ordinary goodness.
Beautiful photos! And I am so happy you got snow, you look beautiful out there. Aw, Qannik, those eyes could melt anything!
No snow here, and while I know the collies enjoy it, I am happy about the lack of white stuff!
We got a couple inches up here in the Fingerlakes of NY. My crew is lovvin’ it! Even Boo who is 13 now wants to be out with the youngins. I would like a bit more for some nice xc skiing with the huskies.
Isn’t this the same girl who burrowed under the blankets by the fireside yesterday? Today she refuses go inside.
