Let Sleeping Dogs Lie

With a phrase ancient as “Let sleeping dogs lie,” you would think we understand that well around Chez Herd.

Typhoon napping in the yard. Let sleeping dogs lie.

Typhoon napping in the yard.

Hu-Dad noted that various dogs were sleeping in the house or on the deck, but Typhoon had decided to sleep in the middle of the yard. This makes perfect sense on a sunny day, but yesterday was very overcast so there were no sun beams to absorb. So Hu-Dad asked Typhoon what he was doing.

Huh? What?

Huh? What?

Yes, that’s right, Hu-Dad interrupted the Munchkin’s nap just to ask a silly question about his chosen sleeping spot. Typhoon was most unimpressed.

I was dreaming of snow. Thanks, Hu-Dad.

Ty is looking less and less like a Munchkin these days.

You know, I do think peoples do be jealous that they just can’t lay down and pass out where you please like us pups does. Next time, make sure you fall asleep in the middle of the kitchen when they do be cooking, they love this.

Mom sez: Hmmm, wonder if he’s being perfectly honest about “dreaming about snow”. Maybe he somehow got “temporarily suspended” from his place in the Herd (BY the Herd) for something he did???
