Yesterday was just a beautiful day in the neighborhood – a high of 61ºF (16ºC), clear blue skies, and the gorgeous fall colors. We took a walk around our neighborhood and Hu-Dad just focused on landscape pictures. Trust us, though, we did have a couple of photos of us.
Our first snow last year was Halloween Night. No snow is forecast yet, but we will see some below freezing temperatures over the next few days at our elevation. Fall is beautiful, but fleeting.
The ski area next door, Cataloochee Ski, typically opens within a week of Halloween, sometimes just before and sometimes just after. They are working hard to be ready for the season.
And in case you are wondering when we will appear in these photos, we are in this next picture as we conclude our walk past the Tree of Life. (Remember, you can click on the picture to enlarge so you can really see us).
We are enjoying the cool, clear days, because winter winter will be here soon enough. Of course, as Siberian Huskies, we can’t wait to see the snow fly.
Thanks for coming along on a tour of our neighborhood. It is truly a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

Thank you for the walk! So beautiful, especially the Tree of Life. We don’t see the fall colors on the West Coast. Thanks for sharing your fur babies!
