We all know it – the power of the look. That look that tells us to cool it and behave . . . right now.
Around Chez Herd, the look is usually reserved for a certain junior member of The Herd who just refuses to grow up.
As Typhoon bounds toward him, Frankie simply raises an eyebrow and glances at the approaching menace.
And with that little effort, the end result was quite impressive.

A Job, A House, A Dog, and the Internet
January 22, 2023
Though I didn’t realize the impact at the time, a job, a house, a dog, and the internet combined in one fateful year to change my life forever.
Way Back Wednesday
Each week, we reach back into our vault of over 4,700 previous posts and share a favorite. We hope you enjoy this look back.
Visit Millerton, a fictional small town near Asheville NC, via D.K. Wall's novels. Ordinary people. Extraordinary events.
did Typhoon submit to brushing? His coat doesn’t seem to be blowing out or maybe its the angle of the photos?
Typhoon would like to be quite clear that no brush touched him for more than a second (whereupon he would instantly scream). He has naturally dropped his coat, mostly in odd corners of the house for Hu-Dad to find.
Awww, love the look!
The Look is way too cute! And oh so powerful❤️?❤️?
no matter now much I would tell stop quit enough knock it off…nothing worked quite as well as a Misha glare to get Koda to settle down.
Our Princess Misha at the ripe old age of 14 and a half years left us on 8-19-15 to meet up with her Rusty at the Rainbow Bridge.
Between our adult children (who were 9 and 10 when she came to be their best friend) bring crushed and heartbroken and Kodas immediate depression, it’s hard to think of anything else.
But seeing Typhoon up to his antics made me laugh.
Hug and Kiss the pups for us all.
So, so sorry to hear of your loss of Misha. We know how incredibly hard it is to lose a canine family member.
There are few words that soothe the pain of the loss of a loved one that only time can lessen. I hope this quote gives you some comfort.
“You think dogs will not be in heaven? I tell you, they will be there long before any of us.”
