A June Snow

Our weather has been very cool and wet, but snow? A June snow? Has the weather gone totally crazy? Or has our hu-dad made this happen?

snow on grass

Typhoon examines the snow piled on our bright green grass.

Siberian fur

Or would that be Siberian fur?

big guns

Yep, the hu-dad has pulled out the big guns to deal with a bunch of shedding Siberian Huskies.

A friend introduced us to using a blower to remove that pesky shedding undercoat of Siberian Huskies. The dogs like this much better than brushes, so we can use the blower to remove the bulk of the fur and then brushes are used for the detail work.

We wish a very Happy Father’s Day to all of our readers.  For the day, we share a post that the hu-dad wrote 3 years ago – a tribute to his own father entitled A Great Man.

What kind of blower do you use? Don’t know if Kita could stand it, she has a conniption fit the few times we’ve used a hair blower drier on low after a bath, but it would have to be worth a try!.

Thank You for re-sharing your Father with us.I lost mine a few years ago on fathers day, so it has been a very difficult day up until now. Your father sounded like a truly amazing man, which in turn produces a truly amazing son.

Thanks for sharing the Herd with us it brightens my mornings.

I am going to pass this information to the other half, since we have one that is also not very fond of the brush, 🙁

Hu-Dad have a blessed fathers day!

You aren’t afraid of the blower? Mom not so sure we would stand for that.

No. Well, except for Typhoon who screams if the blower is near him. Of course, he screams if a brush is near him. A high-pitched, blood curdling scream.

Cheoah, on the other hand, will nap on her side while the blower is going and then get up, turn over, and let the hu-dad get the other side while she naps some more.

The other 4 are fine with the blower until they get bored, but all agree it is better than the brush. Particularly Kiska with that wooly coat that is so difficult because of tangles.
