Since we are all rescues, we don’t talk much about birthdays. We will celebrate Queen Natasha’s eleventh birthday come June 10, but the rest of us just celebrate Gotcha Days (the anniversary of our arrival at Chez Herd).
Now this is just a little secret between us, ok? But seems like today is the hu-dad’s birthday. And, apparently, it is one of those special ones because a zero is involved. We promised we would not reveal which number goes in front of that zero, but let’s just say a lot has happened in the last half century.
For his birthday, I will tell him exactly what types of treats to provide all of us.
For his birthday, I am going to nap with my head in his lap so he can scratch my ears.
For his birthday, I will share a mud bath with him.
For his birthday, I will position myself as a trip hazard.
For his birthday, I will share lots and lots of fur with him.
Wait a minute? He was a pup once?
