Yesterday, we went to Charleston, SC, for a favorite pastime – hanging out with a few friends – Kodi and Nia (and their humans) AND Phoenix, Loki and Cesar (and one of their humans). Yep, 11 Siberian Huskies and five humans.
Kiska always considers it her responsibility to keep track of everyone during a hike. She was a little stressed over the scope of this one.
Soon enough, though, she had everything under control.
With the heat, we were all ready for a nice water break in the shade.
Did we mention heat? Whew!
And what is better after a long, hot walk than hanging out at a favorite dog-friendly restaurant in Charleston, the Kickin’ Chicken.
Though there were some discussions about what orders belonged to whom.
The last photo is really neat. That was Ayla’s trick. Rest her chin on the edge of the table, and “inhale”! Never, from the time she was a puppy did she ever touch anything — just “inhaled”. I’d love it if they had such things as “doggy friendly” eating places where we live. After all, if you don’t like the idea, don’t go, no need to send “anonymous” letters to the Health Department, Sanitation Department, FDA, etc. Just don’t go to them if it bothers you!
Hiking with a pack of Huskies?!? How fun! Better get some good hikes in before it gets TOO HOT!
