Sunday Morning Stroll

We went off Sunday morning for our usual stroll.

It has been a while since we have shared a picture of our favorite tree in our field.

Its sheer size stuns us no matter how often we see it (and, yes, that is the red team at its base).

And we sat under the tree for a while watching the skiers and snowboarders at Cataloochee Ski.

There is nothing finer than sitting under a Thinking Tree on a blue sky day and just soaking in the Universe!

It really is a cool tree. Even with no leaves!

Are you losing all your snow?

Has the big east coast snow storm moved into herd country yet? If not feel free to send them north for a week, they would be in heaven. 🙂

You should paint that tree – or have an artist do it…

What a shame most of your snow is gone! Oh well, I’m sure you’ll get some more soon enough.

I know you love the snows, but I can’t wait to see the Tree when spring comes with those BRIGHT GREEN little leaves! So pretty!

Nothing beats a great Sunday stroll through the snow. We have our own BIG storm coming in tomorrow. We are so glad we finally got sprung from the spa so we can enjoy it now.

I can see from these photos that you have the same dichotomy in your world – areas that look almost bare and then areas that look to be fully in the grip of winter.

You must look forward to the buds and leaves of your tree every year.

That looks like a pretty perfect weekend to us! We’re curious to know about how far you hike every Saturday or Sunday.

I never get tired of seeing that tree! I admit it, I have tree envy.

Looks like you had the same beautiful Sunday that we had.
