The Flirt

Yesterday, we told you about the visit of our friends Kody and Nia, but we also left you with a cliffhanger – who did Kody flirt with?

Kody - aka Sibe Juan

We really enjoyed all of the guesses and the comments that were made.  So who was it?  Well, Much to The Luke’s horror, many of you suggested Kiska – and were right:

Wooing sweet nothings.

Kiska was apparently a little shocked at his forwardness.

But Kiska can be quite the flirt herself.

Ok, ok, this is a family blog, so we will just stop right there.  With Kiska.  You see, many of you suggested that it might be the Cheesewhiz that Kody flirted with.  Guess what?  You were also right.

Hey - come to this mountain often?

I saw you flirting with my sister. Do you think I am that type of girl?

Oh, don't worry about it, handsome.

Of course I am that type of girl.

Ryker was interested in our use of the phrase “pickle nose” yesterday and asked what it meant.

Don't you love those blue eyes and that pickle nose?

Nia has a pickle nose and we love it.  Rusty has a very faint pickle nose (you see it mostly when he gets wet).  And our buddy Dave over at the A04 has a pickle nose.  You see those spots (you can always click the picture to enlarge it) on Nia’s nose?  Well, that is a pickle nose.  We googled it last night to show you some examples and found a GREAT old post from the A04 and Dave which explains the phrase.

Well… the Kody IS a handsome one, so I will do my best to overcome my feelins of rebuffness. I will, however, continue to carry a torch for my Miss Kiska!

You know I like correct terminology and I thought the proper expression was “pickle snoot”. Am I wrong?

I love those photos – classic happy dog body language. Yes, you have two very flirtatious girls on your paws!

I’m glad that you explained pickle nose. Now I know that my dog S had a pickle nose. What a great expression!

Thanks for your words of support. These have been some of the most stressful days in recent memory. I think that K will be OK but she’s scaring me.

Ha ha! Well, I was half right! I’m betting they had to drag poor Kody away after that hike was over!

Sibe Juan. I love it. Are you sure he’s not actually a Kodynova?

  17. Carolyn on November 18, 2010 at 7:24 am

Yay! I guessed at least half right! Silly CheeseWhiz just seems the flirty type. That’s how she charms all the people she visits, after all, right?

Shelby has a pickle nose. I love it. 🙂

I should have know her highness wouldn’t stoop to flirting!

Funny you mention Dave being the pup who spread the word about pickle noses. That’s how we knew what it meant. But, then again, Dave is my true love and one of the things I love most about him IS his adorable pickle nose!
