Fur Wheel Drive

We showed you the other day that the ski resort next to us has been making snow, but they will not share with us.  Bummer.  But the cold weather does allow us to do the next best thing – dry land mushing!  We rarely get pictures or videos because our humans are a little busy, but we did let Natasha and Qannik pose for a few pictures this time around and even a short video.  We all ran at some point, but they were our models.  So this is our own unique version of Walking Wednesday – Fur Wheel Drive style.

Can I come and join you!!!!!!!!!!!

Its a bit warm here at the moment so we have been going for boring old walks, although I’ll never say no to an adventure!

There are few things more wonderful than dogs doing what they were bred to do. What a treat the video is. No couch potatoes here. What lucky dogs.

You just gotta love that last pic of Qannik. Mom so wants to have a scooter but is afraid of falling. Khyrs’s Mom says she needs to be wrapped in bubble wrap first. Great fun, thanks for sharing.

What a fun video. Look at you guys go!

  9. Steve and Kat on December 2, 2009 at 2:46 pm

Wait a minute. I don’t understand why you are going so slow. Isn’t the whole benefit of having wheels under the human the fact that you can run fast?

    Kat

PS. Mom is so happy you were going slow because she can show Dad this video so he can see how safe scootering looks.

I’m excited for this post. I can’t watch the whole video because I’m on a terribly slow connection at school, but I like what I see so far (the first 30 seconds).

I enjoy watching dogs work, and yours look like they’re a happy bunch when they’ve got a job to do.

  18. KB on December 2, 2009 at 9:30 am

They are so well behaved! I absolutely cannot imagine entrusting my life to my two labs pulling me on a bike. My husband tried skijoring once, and had to take a dive into a snow drift to stop before the dogs pulled him into a tree! Maybe Sibes just have the drill encoded in their genes!

It’s snowing here – we’ll send you some!
