After a long and exciting week, we packed up the S-RV and rode home Saturday. We had planned to stay through Sunday and go to the banquet Saturday night, but our hu-dad caught a cold and decided he should not share it with others. Well, that is one reason. Since we know we have many female humans as readers of this blog, let’s confess – male humans are pathetic when they are sick. They whine more than Cheoah. Just saying.
Anyway, we loved our week, but it was a nice sight as we entered our mountains. The road may twist along the river gorge, but it is pretty:
Really helpful sign since it is half way through the gorge – hope you figured this out by here!
Sometimes you can’t go around – you have to go through the mountain
Fiona, another “house on wheels” traveler, asked earlier in the week how our crates were all situated. You can see from these pictures that two are in the cab over space and four are where there used to be a couch. You will also notice that our rescue parade ribbons are hanging proudly from our crates. As we say, every rescued dog is a winner! Natasha, of course, does not have a ribbon, since she is the only one of us who is not a rescue.
Our S-RV home
Cheoah and Rusty have the cab over space (they are the lightest to lift)
Kiska, who will jump into her crate, and the Queen get the window
Qannik and Kodiak share the ground floor
Ribbon? I don’t need no stinking ribbon.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
What great travel accomodations. Hope the cold is improving.
BOL! I loved Queen Natasha’s comment and expression! PRICELESS!
You guys know how to travel in style.

Ribbons aren’t good enough for queens. Natasha should have a trophy for putting up with the rest of the herd……or at least a tiara to accentuate her eyes!
Princess Eva (who hasn’t seen her tiara since last year!)
Your ribbons are so cool! And we loved seeing the set up you have!
Play bows,

I have to agree, male humans become incomprehensibly pathetic when they’re sick. There – I said it!
I think that the Queen needs a crown if she doesn’t get a ribbon. She is Natasha, after all!
You all look very comfortable during your road trip. I love car rides too, but my island is so small so none of my road trips last for long.
Hope your dad feels better soon!
Everypup looks comfy in their crates! Great layout you got going there! Yes the Queen does not need a ribbon. 🙂
Mochi
It’s always nice to be home isn’t it? I am sure the Queen does not need a ribbon to prove she is the Queen anyway.
Huffle Mawson
HaRoooooo! Doze look like furry nice rangements. Maw has 4 crates in da Sibe-urban fur us. Ivanna is da only one who don’t ride in a crate unless we go fur very long distances. She don’t dance around like da rest of us.
Furry cool traveling set up.
Husky kisses,
Biloxi
Queens don’t need ribbons. They’ve got crowns! Neat photos of the house on wheels! Looks comfy! they have a nice life! tho i still think there’s room for lucky # 7! tee-hee!
We think your huDad needs to make a special ribbon for Natasha for being the only one of the TH to have survived life there from puppyhood:) Hope the cold improves quickly.
Tail wags, the OP Pack
“… and if I *DID* need a ribbon, I would take one of theirs.”
Get well, Herd Dad, hit the zinc and all of that highly touted cure!
You have certainly given your pups a perfect space to ride. And we have enjoyed coming along for the ride!
Kisses,
Stella

PeeEssWoo: Take khare of that khold!
That’s a very cushy arrangement. We’ve never traveled long distance, only just around. We do love car rides, and daddy folds up the seat at the back of our tiny car and lets us roam around at the back. I think you just gave him some ideas with the neat crates. oh no..
Wooo,
Togo
