On the Road

We took one last look off of our front porch at the colors starting to appear on the trees:

Why one last look?  We will not see it for over a week and no telling how much the leaves will have changed colors.  Let’s see if Cheoah’s face tells you why we will not see our view for the next week:

Yep, that is the S-RV face of Cheoah.  We are loading up the S-RV and headed toward Chattanooga, Tennessee, for the Siberian Husky Club of America National Specialty that will be held at the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel all next week.

Can you imagine a hotel full of hundreds of Siberian Huskies?  Somehow, we are betting management did not think that one all the way through either.  We keep joking about the poor businessperson who walks into the hotel for a quiet night’s rest and sees a lobby full of dogs. Chuckling.

Sort of reminds our hu-dad of the time he was staying at a hotel in Oklahoma where a Marine corporal was getting married.  The corporal and all of his buddies were in the hotel in their full dress Marine uniforms.  A cab pulled up out front and a very tired looking Army Captain stepped out and through the front doors of the lobby.  He took one look at the Marines milling about in the lobby in the wedding reception and sighed very deeply.  Somehow, he suspected it might be a long night.

Anyway, we will be set up in the RV area beside the hotel, so our blog will be all about the event for the next week or so.  And for those of you in the Chattanooga area, stop by for a day and look us up.  We would love to meet you.

Oh… my… goodness. The view from your front porch! AMAZING! I am so jealous I can hardly see straight 😉 Let me know when the leaves change- we like to take a trip up the Blue Ridge Parkway during fall to see the gorgeous landscapes. Have I ever told you how desperate I am to move to the mountains? Desperate, I tell ya!

As for the hotel full of fluff-balls…. I can’t imagine how the housekeeping staff is going to feel about the hair clean up. But, on the bright side, I imagine the woos that will fill the hall are going to be wonderful!

    Have a GREAT time!
